Class castle ruins, in which children can go on their discovery tour. At the entrance a small donation fund for the preservation of this beautiful ruin. 👍

Nearby is the Orensberg with a rock as a viewing platform. Just continue up the path at the Pfälzerwald hut. On the way a great view of the castle Trifels and more. Those who wander through the fog in winter will experience a great natural spectacle. Incidentally, do letterboxing. The altar and the abandoned house are very interesting.

The castle Neuscharfeneck is the fourth largest castle ruin of the Palatinate and can be reached from several places in the valley.
Above you will be rewarded with a nice view.

I was particularly impressed by the mighty shield wall, as well as the fish farming tanks. Also for this castle ruin's one of the funny videos of Norbert Heugel.

Just have a look before or after your own visit 😉

The ruins of the hilltop castle rises in the eastern part of the Palatinate Forest at about 500 m altitude on the western foothills of Kalkofenberg and is only accessible by footpath. The various areas of the castle are already illustrated. From the upper tower you have a beautiful panoramic view in the Rhine ditch and over the Wasgau.

Angled walk-in castle ruins near the Landauer Hütte.
Day of the open monument on 10.09.17 with medieval spectacle.
The shield wall can be reached by stairs and offers from its observation deck a magnificent panorama - of course depending on the weather 😉.
