A flight with the Zeppelin is a great experience. Interesting is the passenger change. Only when two passengers of the last flight disembark are allowed to board two new ones while a crew member holds the hanging down leash like a balloon. Incidentally, the zeppelin is called "flight" because the device is heavier than the air, the hot air balloon is called "ride" because it is lighter than air.
Some technical details
The airship Zeppelin NT is 75 m long, the weight of the supporting structure is 1100 kg. Three piston engines of a total of 600 hp propel the Zeppelin. It can be maneuvered very well thanks to swiveling propellers. The airship cover is made of tear-resistant three-layer laminate of only 0.34 mm thickness. (The passengers learn but only after the flight). The shell has a surface of 2630 m2 and weighs about one ton. The enveloped volume is 8425 m3. The carrier gas used is incombustible helium. The cabin accommodates 14 passengers and looks like a smaller bus from the inside. Each passenger has a window seat to have an optimal view at an altitude of 300 m ..

Anyone who is in a valley of the Alps, will eventually ask the question: how high can you come up in this valley? To get to the top, you can drive as far as you can, then take cable cars or lifts and climb the rest on foot.
The summit platform "Top of Tyrol" in the Stubaital is (for non-climbers) with a height of 3210m, the highest attainable point in the Stubai Valley. For comparison, I also visited the highest achievable points in the neighboring valleys Ötztal, Pitztal, and Kaunertal, where I am at altitudes of 3340 m (summit platform of the Inner Black Cone in the Ötztal). 3440 m (summit platform of the Hinterer Brunnenkogel in the Pitztal) and 3108 m (Karlesjoch in Kaunertal).

Climate change ended summer skiing on the glaciers above Sölden. In time, they discovered a new target group for summer tourism: the cyclists. For the "Bike Republic Sölden" more and more new trails are created. Bikers are allowed to do what their mothers had forbidden them to do earlier: race down high speed on narrow forest roads.

The highest point that can be reached from the Stubai Valley is the summit platform at the Schaufelkar at an altitude of 3210 m, called the "Top of Tyrol". Unfortunately, the Stubai Glacier also has to suffer from global warming (such as the glaciers in Kaunertal, Pitztal and in the Ötztal). Again, trying to prevent with white cloths that the glacier continues to melt. A visit to the "Ice Grotto" near the summit station of the Eisgratbahn is definitely worthwhile. The circular route in the glacier ice is more beautiful and longer than the comparable path in the "walk-through crevasse" on the Kaunertal Glacier.
