Am Kruzifix (HWN 003)

The inner German border was located at the crucifix (550 m above sea level) and was therefore not accessible. The cross had to give way to the border fence and was rebuilt in 1990. Today a beautiful resting place with a refuge on the former Kolonnenweg.

After the communists could not endure such a creed in their forest and destroyed it, the present crucifix was rebuilt after the turn in 1990.

Nice rest area on a long hike. Stempelstellen 003 of the Harzer Wanderadel is located at the hut, not at the cross.

It's always great when you meet "contemporary witnesses" at such stamp points and you can't get out of the chat. Up there you can just forget the time and enjoy the view of the Brocken.
