"The origin of the name 'Black Stick' cannot be clearly clarified because the term 'stick' can be understood to mean different objects. A stick is the stump of a tree whose roots are still anchored in the ground. It leaves "It can be concluded that there was a black, burnt-out tree stump on the spot where the Ritterstein stands today."
