You can also take a nice circular walk along the water in the direction of the lock at Engelen, before the lock turn left, along the water to the end, before the bridge turn left again, along the water (army vehicle storage) and back to Crevecoeur and the fish ladder.
From here you can take various walks, to eg: Engelen, Bokhoven or the Maasboulevard, etc. etc.

Hiking

If you want to extend this walk even further, walk back via crevecoeur to driver's cafe Treurenburg, pass under the railway and turn left for a beautiful walk through the floodplains. Walk over the stepping stones in the water. Enough seen ... then go up the dike and walk back past earth, air, fire and water (apartment buildings on the Maasboulevard).

Hiking

If you want to extend this walk even further, just walk to the Engelen lock and turn right to Bokhoven, on the dike there is a great cafe / restaurant for a snack. If you walk through, you will enter the charming village of Bokhoven. If you want to go back, go via the dike and halfway right towards the Haverley, a residential form based on castle-like buildings.
