The Blanckenborch estate is the life's work of house painter Kor Buist and his wife. Buist bought a burnt-down farm in 1982 to build his own farmhouse here. Unfortunately, the municipality indicated that this was not possible, because the plot was intended for agricultural buildings. Buist then decided to become a farmer himself in order to be able to realize his plan. He bought more land and a number of Limousin cattle. In 1985 he was able to build his farmhouse on it.

Blanckenborch is a 53 hectare estate in the south of the municipality of Groningen in the Dutch province of Groningen. It is located northwest of the Noordlaarderbos, east of the Drentsche Aa and southeast of the De Poll estate.
