More than 100 years old viaduct with beautiful half-timbered construction over the railway line Groningen - Assen, built in 1920 after the construction of a shunting yard near Onnen. Due to the construction of the shunting yard (1916-1920), the connecting road between the villages Onnen and Glimmen had to disappear. The Dutch Railways promised the municipality, at their expense, to create a new connection in the form of a viaduct.
