A bit hidden, a paved farm road leads from Vlatten to Eppenich. The path is pretty broken (especially directly behind Vlatten), but still easy to drive and quite idyllic. It takes a long time uphill behind Vlatten. Once you have reached the hill, the first time you have a great view of the entire Rhine plain. It then goes quickly on good asphalt into the valley to Eppenich.
