The artist Margarita Rieth calls her work “The Madonna, dressed in the sun”. She has a coat on, penula, says the specialist, what a small hut and thus protection means. The child Jesus sits on this hut without being held by Mary and thus moves into the center of the work of art: Christ as the central figure of our faith. The collapsed houses and the overturned church symbolize the unrest of our time. But a figure who could be St. Francis supports the breaking church.
