Best Hikes to Stierberg Pond (HWN 048)

Tips

  • The Stierbergsteich is a beautiful, quiet place in the middle of the forest. It is a must on a tour from Sophienhof! Stamp number 48 of the Harz hiking pin is located in the refuge.

  • The Stierbergsteich is idyllically situated. There is a hut, a small bank and stamping point 48 for the Harz hiking pin. Unfortunately, it was totally overcrowded here during our visit. There were more than 30 people present. If you feel like it, just hike on to the Moser pond. It is much quieter there and there are a lot more benches.

  • Nice rest area at Stierbergteich HWN 48, not 47. The stamp HWN47 is not far from the Oberharzerblick and the HWN 50Walzenhütte. But with so many stamps you can get confused. Still nice.
