View of the Rappbode Pre-Dam at Trageburg (HWN 052)

On the mountain spur of the castle ruins you have a brilliant view of the dam. You won't find much of the former castle anymore. You can read their previous purpose on an information board. The refuge offers you a place to rest, the stamp box of the Harz hiking pin the chance to fill your exercise book further. A good way to visit the castle is from Trautenstein along the Rappbode.

Very little castle for the name, but still very beautiful. From here you have a magnificent view of the lake. Two benches invite you to linger and if the weather is bad, there is enough space in the refuge.

The stamping point of the Harz hiking pin 52 "Trageburg am Hexenstieg" offers the ideal resting place. You will find a refuge here, which you can stop in when the weather is bad, as well as two benches outside the hut, from which you have an incredible view of the pre-basin of the Rappbodetalsperre.
