Opposite the Dubrow forester's lodge on the edge of the forest is a flat stone building, the ice cellar. The game was stored here. Bats have now moved into the natural monument.

The Dubrow was a popular hunting ground for the Prussian kings and German emperors. The last farm hunt took place in 1913 under Kaiser Wilhelm II. The Dubrow game cellar was created by artisans to store the game. Today (April 2020) it is populated by bats and is designated as a natural monument. It is located on the edge of the forest opposite the Dubrow Forest House.

Contrary to what is often stated, the "game cellar" at the Forsthaus Dubrow was not used to store game from the Dubrow. The building, built from fieldstone into a hill, was a storage room for feeding and grazing game stocks kept in the Dubrow. The "Wildkeller" is a testimony to the royal-imperial court hunt in the forest areas of the Dubrow. The "Wildkeller" is a bat roost and designated as a natural monument.Source dahme-heideseen-naturpark.de/themen/excursion-targets-experiences/wildkeller-dubrow
