According to a report by Jürgen Trapp (1981), there were originally eight Napoleon benches in the Gimmeldingen district. ... The “Lockenstein” (pillar) of the bank on Kieselbergweg, which was knocked down in 1978 and completely stolen in 1990, was replaced by a replica in 1991. ...
On March 2, 1829, the stone carver Nikolaus Thomas from Gimmeldingen received 8 guilders 48 kreuzers for making seven hearth stones. Signed by the Royal Mayor, Friedrich Reiß (Neustadt City Archives, municipal accounts 1829, documents 152/153)
