This cave is barely visible from the wide forestry path. To get to it, you have to go down a steep, mossy stone staircase from the wide path. Directly in front of the cave you can sit on an original one-person bench or on a log."The Thieves' Cellar is a small sandstone cave in the Palatinate Forest. It used to be used by highwaymen who made the road between Kaiserslautern and Bad Dürkheim unsafe, as a hiding place for their prey."ATTENTION: "This [entry] is undesirable and not permitted, especially during the bat protection period from October 1 to March 31!" each quoted from:

Small but beautiful cave. A welcome cooling off in summer. The way to the cave of Isenach was quite overgrown when we approached it. As of August 2020.
