Visitors to Estorf can discover a jewel that is unique in terms of building history: a barn quarter created after the Thirty Years' War in an old oak grove. Of the originally more than forty barns - which were hidden outside the village to protect them from looting hordes and frequent conflagrations - seven have been extensively restored and now house a local museum with various exhibitions. In the middle of this historical ambience is the so-called "cyclist barn", in which groups - after prior reservation - can set up a quaint night camp.
