    Hiking

A remarkable number of both Cretaceous fossils and prehistoric traces of human settlements were found on the Gamighübel.

    Hiking

The so-called Gamighübel rises between Kauscha and Leubnitz, in the middle of a field. The Gamig, once a pagan sacrificial site, consists of a Lusatian type granodiorite. Although the summit rises only a little from its surroundings, it still represents a considerable elevation of the cenomaniac sea floor, since it itself still protrudes through the layers of the turonic labiatus plan.

The name Gamighübel comes from the Slavic language and means "stone." People of old told the legend that dwarves with valuable stones lived here, but they fled because of the noise from the nearby church in Neuostra.
