In 2008, the filigree pedestrian bridge at the pastorate Leichlingen was opened in order to enable schoolchildren in particular a safer way away from motorized traffic. The bridge should as little as possible disturb the banks of the Wupper. The multiply kinked pylon, for example, is modeled on the banks of the riverbank, and the lighting of the bridge is integrated into the railings.
