Today I wanted to add a few km and hm to my all you can eat version of last year. I had hoped that the stresses and strains of the vacation would have had a positive effect on my performance.
And in fact, another 1.6 km / h on the cut and that with more altitude and more km.
I have to say, however, that the conditions for such a project were almost perfect today.
It started at 7 a.m. and it was wonderful to drive through the Morsbachtal into the day, then the corkscrew, northern railway, coal railway to Hattingen, Ruhr cycle path to Kettwig, Niederberg railway back to Wuppertal, northern railway and corkscrew path, on to Leichlingen, Balkan road to Lennep, down to Wuppertalsperre, the old railway line to Radevormwald and then the entire Uelfetal via Beyenburg to Laaken, only briefly (plagued by cramps here) to Lüttringhausen and then home to Remscheid. Insanity! 220 km of dream paths

Today we rode all the cream pieces around Beyenburg together to have a base for a fat trail Sunday. In particular, the stairs on the Bielstein were a real chunk when driving at dusk with artificial light, but were completely driven except for one point. I don't even need to talk about the blueberry and root trail, they are great anyway.

Today, on our last day in Sexten, we went on the trail of the Stoneman Dolomiti. From Sexten via the terminus of the Helm Bahn, Hahnenspielhütte to the Sillianer Hütte. A dream of a special kind for ambitious Mtb riders. Then the reward was first the trail to the Klammbachalm and then the Erla Trail. Oh what was that nice. And unwinding the whole thing with the Enduro and 1200 meters in altitude in a net 3 hours was a real feast for the body.

Today's tour took us with the enduros first from Toblach on bike paths, then a small trail along the Drau and later over the road and gravel passages to Lake Braies. Here Disney World was very popular, even if the pictures don't reflect it thanks to the cutout. When a natural highlight is commercialized so extremely it is sad. The last time I was there I had to share the lake with 150 people, today it felt like 5,000, so the part was not recommended.
Then it went over gravel roads and the driveway up to the Plätzwiesen. Here once regulated the influx of cars, which drastically reduces the number of visitors. At the Hotel Plätzwiese it is still full, the view of the grassy landscape, horses and cows, framed by the mountain massifs, is beautiful. However, if you drive another 2 km, then the view from the Dürrensteinhütte on the Cristallomassiv is amazing and a nice price for the long ascent.

Today we took the jeep up to Monte Piana and Monte Piano, a high plateau made up of two ridges lying across from the Grgen in the middle of the Unesco World Heritage Site of the South Tyrolean Dolomites. Here in the midst of the visual highlights of the Three Peaks, Paternkofel, Monte Cristallo ... between 1915 and 1918, true tragedies in the tragedy between Austria and Italy took place. From this dreamlike plateau you have an overview of various strategically important valleys. Because of this, 14,000 soldiers died here. The battle lines of the hostile states were sometimes less than 200 meters apart. Many of the soldiers did not die in the grenade and hail of bullets, but from frostbite and illnesses in the lousy cold open positions. A plan by the Italians to undermine Monte Piano was discovered when the tunnel dug for it was already 50 meters deep and 250 meters long.
