History trail Güster
Güster made its name primarily as a gravel quarrying site, the building materials for many roads and buildings in Germany come from here. At the time at the beginning of the last century, Güster was even the third largest inland port in Germany.
As a reminder, a culture trail has been set up along the quarry ponds. And here, too, the friends' association supported the community in organizing old equipment such as lorries, tracks of the old conveyor railway and other work equipment that testifies to this work culture.
Living history - made "tangible" for the Güsterans and their visitors - is at its best for the Friends of Güster Heimatpflege!
