Interested parties can find out something about the structural change in Güster as a result of the construction of the Elbe-Lübeck Canal. After centuries of agriculture, Güster's image has changed significantly over the past 100 years. At that time, a huge deposit of gravel was discovered in the Feldmark. Gravel from Güster was used throughout northern Germany. The Spitalerstrasse and Mönckebergstrasse in Hamburg, the torpedo boat harbor in Cuxhaven and the Hamburg-Lübeck motorway are mentioned as representative of many large projects.
