At the end of the Limbergtal lies the "Rote Schuss" (505m above sea level)
Stamp location of HWN No. 90
The terrain drops very steeply towards the valley side. On the tour along the "Harzer Grenzweg" it is worth making a detour to this mountain made of red porphyrite (= geologically for volcanic rock). Here and there the red rock, which the steep mountain probably owes its name to, shines clearly in the surrounding area.
Here you can enjoy the wonderful view of the southern Harz foothills, the karst landscape and the Kyffhäuser.
The best starting point for a beautiful circular hike is the hiking car park in Zorge.
From here it goes up to the stepmother HWN164, the Wendeleiche HWN165 (lies on the "Harzer Grenzweg") and the 2 Ländereiche (special stamp of the HWN)
