The small Aichinger brewery in Heiligenstadt has been brewing beer since 1870, and only one type. A top special beer (gusset) that tastes caramel-like, spicy, simply beer-good. Concentrating on this one type of beer may seem a little minimalistic, but it is better to hit the mark with "only" one type of beer than to offer umpteen types of beer in the range that do not taste good. In autumn there is also a bock beer on offer.
