The eponymous Oskar-Helene Home for the healing and education of frail children in the immediate vicinity of the station opened in 1914, shortly before the start of the First World War. The foundation of the two patrons Oskar and Helene Pintsch financed the sanatorium of the Cripple Children's Healing and Welfare Association for Berlin-Brandenburg.

The Oskar-Helene-Heim underground station is an underground station on the U3 line of the Berlin U-Bahn. The station in the Dahlem district of the Berlin district of Steglitz-Zehlendorf is located on Clayallee south of the intersection with Argentinische Allee and was put into operation on December 22, 1929 together with the route to Krumme Lanke.
