You can hike on and along the Limes between the Sandplacken car park and the Saalburg (Limes adventure trail). You will pass numerous locations of Roman watchtowers and small forts. The Limes was even reconstructed below the Saalburg.

Hiking

The path along the Limes offers a variety of sights worth seeing. The Limes itself, tree art, ancient ruins of Roman watchtowers, and even views of the Rhine-Main plain.

The Limes has now been marked in several places by three white tree trunks.

It's definitely worth walking this path.

The best starting point, also for parking, is either at Sandplacken or Saalburg.
