Vorweg zwei Bemerkungen: 1. vom 15. Februar bis 31. Juli ist der Weg aus Gründen des Vogelschutz gesperrt. 2. Wanderschuhe mit kräftigen Sohlen sind empfehlenswert, es geht viel über Geröll. Schöner Rundweg mit Ausblicken weit in die Vulkanlandschaft. Bei etwa Km 5 geht ein schmaler Pfad hoch in die eigentliche Caldera, auf den wir verzichtet haben da es uns viel zu warm war.
