Giant Sequoia at Nidda-Harb

Probably the tallest tree in the Wetterau has American roots. The beautiful specimen probably comes from the same breeding as the sequoias northeast of Rainrod.Here the age can be determined quite precisely. The giant tree of California was sown in a garden in Griesheim near Darmstadt in 1895. In 1899 the tender little plants came to Schotten and to the Forsthaus Glaubzahl.
