The spoon mountain is a 445 m above sea level. NN high mountain in eastern Wasgau, as the southern part of the Palatinate Forest together with the northern part of the Vosges is also called.
The mountain is located entirely on the district of the municipality Busenberg and is located about two kilometers northeast of their settlement area. Two kilometers west lies Schindhard, just as far away in the east Oberschlettenbach. To the north lies the Bärenbrunner valley with the historic Bärenbrunnerhof.
The Löffelsberg is covered in mixed forest.  On its eastern flank springs the Erlenbach. In the west-east direction, a footpath leads over its summit, which is part of the Busenberger Holzschuhpfad adventure trail. From here you have a good view of Drachenfels Castle. 
The east ridge of the Löffelsberg is shaped like the southern slope of up to 26 meters high Buntsandsteinfelsen, which are used as a climbing garden. Here are a total of 16 climbing routes up to grade VI (UIAA) to find
