Beautiful and interesting nature reserve. The Weingartener Moor nature reserve and wet biotope is one of the last semi-natural remaining areas of the Kinzig-Murg channel, a former river valley on the eastern edge of the Upper Rhine Graben. It is a fen with open water areas, surrounded by extensive swampy forest. Therefore, one finds an occurrence of a species-rich animal world here. The bird life of the protected area is particularly diverse. The bog is also an important spawning ground for 14 native amphibian species.
