The romantic country castle on the edge of the Steigerwald is located in an area of over 20,000 m2 with forest, meadows and orchards. The framework of Faszination Garten is the courtyard area around the venerable, enchanted castle in French style, the large castle meadow and the areas of the old garden center. All in all, a stylish, harmonious ambience for garden dreams and their implementation.

      The historic Weingartsgreuth Castle

1368 First historically known naming of Weingartsgreuth

1574 Georg Marschalk von Ebneth, Bishop of Bamberg councilor and bailiff, acquires the Weingartsgreuth manor and builds the first castle.

1705 The castle in its current baroque form began on parts of the previous building. The builder is unknown. In professional circles, the castle is known as Franconia's "baroque dresser" because of its original shape.

1726 By marriage, the palace and estate come into the possession of the barons of Seckendorff-Aberdar and are still lived in and managed by the family today.

1719 Marschalk von Ebneth introduces the Reformation in Weingartsgreuth and begins building an Evangelical Lutheran. Castle chapel.

1744 It is ceremoniously inaugurated by Christoph Friedrich Freiherr von Seckendorff after completion and still serves as a place of worship for the local parish today.
