Hiking
The Thames is a tidal river. At low tide, it is a good idea to browse along the banks. There are countless relics from past eras, especially huge amounts of bones from animals that have long since been eaten. Our children have built up a large collection of bones there, which, amazingly, didn't bother anyone at the airport security checkpoint. Today, these are showpieces that are much envied by schoolmates and are on permanent display.
