"The Salm Palace, renovated in 2006, is located on Castle Square (Hradčanské náměstí). The magnificent neoclassical building was built between 1800 and 1810 by the architect Franz Pawjček on behalf of the then Prague Archbishop Vilém Florentin Graf von Salm and was owned by the Prince of Schwarzenberg until 2002 . Today the Palais Salm belongs to the Prague National Gallery, which has been using the premises together with the neighboring Palais Schwarzenberg for various exhibitions since 2004."
