Berliner Turm Observation Tower

He stands, the tower.
High on the vineyard's back,
you can look far into the distance.
He is called Berliner Turm.
Why? Listen in town and country.
Just look to the east and to Berlin, the big city,
you cut through the middle.
Not for those he is called "Berlin",
which burned for a long time;
not even for those who are making money from the division
and then disappear into the western world.
Only for that he is called Berliner Turm,
which withstood every storm,
in spite of danger, blockages and rabble

Ascent from the trail parking lot in Datterode. Very nice views. Ascent to the Berliner Turm moderate, but also directly possible. Tower on the inside spiral staircase by all means dare. Fantastic panorama compensates for the effort.
