I recommend long trousers for some parts of the hike, because the vegetation along it, like grass, grows waist high and sometimes higher, especially on the single trail parts.

Mostly really good and wide hiking trails, expect the last hundred meters to Monte Fossa delle Felci, but you can take the forest road as an alternative way to the top.
There are several paths to Valdichiesa and Leni. I took one which led me to a beautiful spot overlooking Malfa and to Stromboli. From
