The Kyrenia Ship is considered the best-preserved ancient vessel in the Levantine Sea. Dating from the late 4th century BC, it sank off the north coast of Cyprus, where it was discovered in 1965, raised between 1967 and 1969, and subsequently restored. The Kyrenia Ship contained approximately 380 amphorae, mostly wine vessels from Rhodes (aha - 😊). In ancient times, such vessels were usually marked with amphora stamps, which can be dated relatively precisely.

The wreck was discovered in 1965 and recovered in 1968. The ship is around 300 BC. BC and was already 75 years old at the time. It was a kind of soul seller. 400 amphorae were on board, with almonds, grapes, etc.
