Hiking

A beautiful hiking area opens up to the right and left of “Badealdstrasse”. Forest field and meadow paths alternate here. In between wonderful views of the vastness in the Zülpicher Börde, in the Kermeter, Ruchting Hürtgenwald, Nideggen and the Rurtal

Hiking

The bathing forest is not a secret bathing pond in the middle of dense trees. Bath forest is the name of a forest area between the two Nideggen districts of Abenden (pronounced: Ah-Benden) and Berg. The name bath forest probably goes back to a decayed place called Badua.

Hiking

The Badewald is part of the nature reserve of the Buntsandsteinfelsen in the Rur valley, which extends from Untermaubach to Abenden.
