Über Schevenhütte und Aachen-Brand auf den Vennbahnradweg. Unterwegs überholte mich ein Rennradler mit Motorunterstützung. Hallo, geht's noch? Entweder E-Bike (fahre ich auch) oder Rennrad, aber das ist Beschiss. Die Challenge: 100km ohne Licht an einem der kürzesten Tage des Jahres. Hätte fast geklappt. Ich war schon im Heimatdorf, als plötzlich mein HR blockierte. Es half alles nichts, das letzte Stück musste ich mit blockiertem HR nach Hause schieben🥺. Vermutlich Radlager defekt. Aber zum Glück 🍀 ist das nicht unterwegs passiert

Streckenwahl war heute suboptimal. Den Kollbergweg rauf musste ich tlw. schieben, weil das HR durchdrehte. Der Wildnistrail Richtung Heimbach war mit grobem Schotter ausgelegt und tiefe Spuren durch Baufahrzeuge. Ob hier Windräder geplant sind?

Zwei Beinpressen in der Runde. Zum einen Fischbachtal rauf, mit bis zu 18% ein echter Körnerfresser und dann nach Rath rauf auch nicht ohne. Dreesbach mit meinem Schwalbe Smart Sam am Hinterrad ne echte Mutprobe. Danke an die Trailpfleger am Dreesbach, wer immer das auch ist, die Gemeinde wird es nicht sein 🥰

Start war der Friedhof in Eschweiler. Den Astropeiler erstmalig aus der Nähe gesehen. Danach kam ein 2km langer Abstieg, schwierig, weil gerade ein Harvester rauf gefahren war. Danach das sehr schöne Teufelsloch Tal und der beeindruckende Steinbruch.
