Saarmund is a district of the municipality of Nuthetal in the Brandenburg district of Potsdam-Mittelmark. The place is east of the Saarmund end moraine arch and west of the Nuthe.
The first documentary mention of Saarmund dates to December 28, 1216, when the Bishop of Brandenburg Siegfried II confirmed his archidiaconate rights to the Brandenburg cathedral chapter when he took office.
