Emperor Charles IV sent relics from Pilsen in 1355 for the new construction of the parish church. After the choir, the nave was built in 1412. From 1488 the church was north and south by Hans Behaim d. Ä. expanded with two-story family chapels. This created a three-aisled, vaulted room of the type between the hall and the basilica. In 1526 a three-aisled west gallery with two spiral staircases was pulled in. From 1692 to 1696, Johann Rampino rebuilt the church tower that had collapsed the year before. The high altar with the altar leaf by Hans Georg Asam was created in 1710/11 based on a design by Count Palatine Theodor Eustach. The life-size stone figure of St. Wenceslas with the portrait trains of Emperor Charles IV on a leaf console under a canopy. From 1652 - 1958 St. Marien served as a parish church for both denominations in Sulzbach.

This resulted in a three-aisled, vaulted room, which is of the type between the hall and the basilica. In 1526 a three-nave west gallery with two spiral staircases was added. Johann Rampino built the previously collapsed church tower from 1692 to 1696. The high altar with the altarpiece by Hans Georg Asam was created in 1710/11 according to a design by Count Palatine Theodor Eustach. The church is open during the day.
