It was very nice to observe the herons again.
Unfortunately, komoot mixed up the pictures completely again.

Today we visited the Traunfelder Valley on the other side of the valley. Spring horizons and rock formations delighted us on the beautiful forest path in the shady woods.

Today we went again to the Burgstall Hohenrasch with its mighty moat. The shady forest was a blessing.
The terrain on the other side of the road with its elevations and depressions is also interesting.
On the way home, we were happy about the swan on the canal.

When I saw the swan on the way there at the Kettenbacher Kanalbrücke, I naturally had to stop immediately. It was very interested in me.
The now dilapidated mining adit at Brentenberg is listed as a monument of historical significance D-5-6634-0057 "Mining of the Middle Ages". Below the adit, some spoil

I have to photograph the former inn and the old train station building almost every time I'm here.
No insects were to be seen today, but the herons were sitting by the fish ponds.

Today I almost escaped the heat successfully, but only almost...
The iron sandstone is strongly visible in many places. I had to think of my childhood with red feet and red bedsheets.

The Peuntinger Holz pleases us very much every time. At the steep slope, you are rewarded with a magnificent view over the surroundings.
PS: On the way home, I unexpectedly met Bini. The joy was immense..

Not only the herons, but also the bumblebee and especially the Purple Emperor delighted me today.

The interesting little castle ruins are located directly on a relatively little-used connecting road. The trees right by the roadside block the view into the steep moat running along the roadside.
Today it was a pleasure to walk in the shady forest. The temperatures compared to 38° were "only" 34° today.

Even the shady path offered no relief today.
The Schwarzach was only beside me at the beginning, then continued on the other sunny side of the valley.
I enjoy the view from the Schwarzach to St. Michaels Church with the Schäferkapelle every time.

The many granite rock formations in the Lerautal are impressive.
The rock formations bear names such as Gottes Hände or Wolfslohfelsen.

Since the 13th century, the Rohrenstadt people probably sat on the Racklburg. Around 1450, they built the moated castle in Oberrohrenstadt, which is now a farm.
(see Castles and castle sites in the Neumarkt district).
In Wünricht, next to a former noble seat from the 17th/18th century, there is the chapel

The Lauterachtal with its side valleys impresses me with its naturalness and its cultural-historical sights.
Today a kite circled over Lauterach, a beautiful bird of prey, unfortunately too fast for a photo.
