The church was built in the second half of the 13th century from granite cubes, destroyed around 1271. In its place, a brick church was built in the 14th and 15th centuries, burned down in 1539, rebuilt in 1582-1592. In the years 1834-1837 a general renovation was carried out, and in the years 1904-1905 a thorough renovation in the Gothic style
