It has been official since 2007, the geographical center of Rheinhessen is in the Wörrstädter Land. The Rhineland-Palatinate State Office for Surveying and Geographic Base Information determined Gabsheim to be the official center of the Rhine-Hessian wine-growing region. The publicly accessible point is located in an original way in a hallway that bears the old name "An des Adam's apple tree". It's a nice square with tables, benches, and information boards, a little away from the street. From here you can enjoy the view over Gabsheim and the entire hill country. Source: rheinhessen.de
