At the highest point of the "Albiger Hundskopf" vineyard stands the tower "Auf dem Fels", a vineyard and observation tower inaugurated in 2001.

According to rheinhessen.de, the vineyard hill looks like a lying dog from the west. The hill does indeed have a strange shape, and it's best to see for yourself. The researchers believe that this charming story is the most plausible explanation. On the south-west slope of the Hundskopf, the vines grow on limestone and marl with a rich clay content. All grape varieties are represented, and the winemakers also produce noble sweet wines with great storage potential.
