The intersection is located directly behind the interruption of the Nordbahn line on the Bergisches Plateau towards the former Schee station. The steep rock faces on the left and right along the Nordbahntrasse are impressive and always a feast for the eyes. The Nordbahntrasse is also quite wide at this point, so that it is very easy to drive. The railway line used to be double-track before it was eventually rebuilt to the single-track route.
