The anniversary linden tree on the edge of the market square was planted in 1913 to mark the 100th anniversary of the victory over Napoleon. This makes it only 26 years younger than the Imperial Oak tree next door.

After severe war destruction, the city has a small but beautiful old town center again.

Especially in the city center, many old houses and historic sights can still be found. The church (St. Nicholas, not St. Mary's) towers over the market square and bears witness to the city's loooong history.
It's a great place to take a break and enjoy the hustle and bustle.
