The old building of the Raths Pharmacy in Lauenburg fits picturesquely into the overall ensemble of Lauenburg's historic old town. The traditional Raths Pharmacy in the Elbe town of Lauenburg was only closed in the spring of 1990.
The owner at the time donated the historic facility to the Altona Museum.
The facility has been there in its original condition since 1997 and gives visitors a vivid impression of the production of pills, mixtures and other medicinal substances in the 19th and 20th centuries.
When looking at the facade of the Raths Pharmacy, the playful details such as the Art Nouveau railing or the "bell button" are worth noting.herzogtum-lauenburg.de/a-rathsapotheke-lauenburg

The Lauenburg Raths Pharmacy has been located in the Altona Museum since 1997 following a generous donation. The last owner, the pharmacist Margarete Lammers (1915-2008), had promised her father-in-law Johann Lammers that she would "take good care of the pharmacy". The pharmacy was founded in 1736 by the city council to improve revenue and to better control the pharmacy system and was initially leased.

Unfortunately, the pharmacy is currently empty, like many other houses in Lauenburg.
