The Legend:
A maiden went to the depths of hell,
A vagabond followed her.
He wanted to seduce her
and sinfully touch her
at this most still hour.
With cunning, he crept after her,
making the maiden frightened.
With terrible horror,
she fled screaming,
and knew neither way forward nor back!
At the precipice, she paused briefly
and dared the deep fall.
And the vagabond
jumped after her into the depths,
and remained hanging by his apron.
The maiden jumped unharmed,
the villain hung by a thread!
No soul helped him,
as he tormented himself for so long!
