The Nordstetten Castle was built in 1737-41 by Adam Heinrich Keller von Schleitheim on the walls of an old castle. In 1819 ownership changed to the barons of Münch, in 1831 to the baron of Linden and until 1858 to the von Weikersthal family. After that, the owners changed frequently.
On June 11th Josef Schneiderhan and 19 other Nordstetter citizens bought the castle. Due to the incorporation, the castle is currently owned by the city of Horb.

In the castle, next to the local town hall, is the Bertold Auerbach Museum. It is reminiscent of the writer Bertold Auerbach who was born here. In 1986 the literature museum was set up in the Nordstetter baroque palace.
