The beautiful thatched roof house unfortunately fell victim to a fire and it is obviously too expensive to restore or demolish. How wonderful it was to sit on the terrace in summer 🕶 and enjoy the view of the lake with coffee and cake, which of course is only possible with bare trees :))

The Riemeisterfenn is a nature reserve in the Berlin district of Steglitz-Zehlendorf on the edge of the Grunewald. The Fenn is a swampy, swampy lowland of the Riemeistersee, which has largely silted up since the beginning of the 20th century and, as one of the last Berlin moors, is one of the remains of the original vegetation. It is part of the Grunewaldseenkette and connects - today by canal - the south-west lying Krumme Lanke with the north adjoining nature reserve Langes Luch.
