At 8,200 feet, this campground is located highest in Death Valley National Park. It is the perfect spot to start your hike to Telescope Peak, the highest mountain in the park. The campground has 10 sites, each of them has a picnic table and a fire pit. You will find yourself surrounded with shady trees and stunning views in all directions. Temperatures are considerably lower than in the flat parts of the park.
The campground has no water, but a pit toilet. There is no fee to stay here.
To get here, you need a vehicle with at least 4WD. High clearance is absolutely recommended.
The campground is open from late spring through fall.
