At 7,400 feet, this campground is the second highest in Death Valley National Park. It is the perfect spot to start your hike to Wildrose Peak and the Charcoal kilns. The campground has 6 sites, each of them has a picnic table and a fire pit. You will find yourself surrounded with shady trees. Temperatures are considerably lower than in the flat parts of the park.
The campground has no water, but a pit toilet. There is no fee to stay here.
To get here, you need a vehicle with at least 4WD. High clearance is absolutely recommended.
The campground is open from late spring through fall.
